Jessica Simpson Decade Hobo | Floral Fabric Handbag with Leather-Like Trim
This Jessica Simpson Decade hobo is fun and flirty summer fashion at its best for the brand. I don’t know about you, but it just makes we want to throw on some flip-flops and head out to catch some rays.
The brown trim might not be real leather, but its wrapped design is picture perfect for the handbag’s style. Though it doesn’t exactly stand out on this floral version and merely complements the look, the other solid color options available highlight the feature a little better.
If you prefer something brighter than black, blue, brown, or white manmade leather, though, you should opt for the flowers. The Jessica Simpson logo is scattered throughout the pattern, but it’s not obvious enough to be distracting.
The ruched top is a pretty detail but also a functional one as it hides the zippered closure on the top of the bag. Of course, what Jessica Simspon handbag doesn’t have the stitched logo on the bottom panel? The Decade’s signature feature in the same brown manmade material as the trim. The Decade hobo retails for an affordable $88 and is also available in a satchel.
Jessica Simpson Dreamcatcher Macrame Hobo | Ultra Casual Bohemian Handbag
When I think of macrame handbags, Jessica Simpson’s brand definitely does not come to mind. Her looks are generally semi-casual everyday to formal, whereas macrame is the epitome of uber-casual, wear-with-flip-flops kind of style. However, this uncharacteristically bohemian-like Jessica Simpson Dreamcatcher Hobo is a fun and flirty summer winner. The Dreamcatcher is available in two colors, this blue denim and a tangerine orange. The main color comes from the leather-like material underneath the woven macrame, which has a slight tie-dye effect. A single twisted handle adds to the laid-back feel of this Jessica Simpson handbag. The Macrame Dreamcatcher Hobo measures 12 x14 x 5 in. and has a zip top closure.
Jessica Simpson Woodstock Cross-Body | Synthetic Leather Fringe Bag with Hippie Style
This handbag by Jessica Simpson is practically oozing with casual, bohemian style. Though I’m sure it’s not intended to inspire hippie-like behavior, it certainly puts me in a laid-back mood.
A fringed bag is nothing new to fashion, but instead of the typical bottom-hanging fringe, the Woodstock Cross-Body bag has four vertical rows of the detail on the front. It’s an interesting, slightly unexpected look when combined with a handful of multi-colored, beaded tassels. If you prefer the standard fringe location, however, the Woodstock also comes in a smaller Hobo Bag with the hanging fringe feature.
I wish that the leather on this cross-body could be real. Alas, at only $88, we’re lucky to get a good imitation. This Jessica Simpson design also gets some brownie points for the convenience of having a back zippered pocket and an adjustable strap. The Woodstock Cross-Body Bag has a zip top closure and adjustable strap with a 23.5 in. drop. Size is 10 x 10 x 3 in.
Jessica Simpson St. Tropez Clutch | Multi-Colored Faux Crocodile Handbag
If nothing else, this Jessica Simpson St. Tropez bag is certainly an eye-catcher. I find myself wondering how many outfits it could possibly work with, and yet I like it all the same.
It’s not that the brightly colored, harlequin-like pattern isn’t slightly overwhelming at first glance. I know I had to do a double take (or two) before deciding whether or not I actually liked the clutch. However, the combination of colors along with the woven technique is altogether interesting.
The effect is taken to a whole new level of unique when you add in the crocodile texture on the handbag. Though the leather is synthetic and the croc is merely embossed, I think it adds a little something extra to the look.
Jessica Simon also adds a glossy patent finish to the clutch on top of everything else. I could take or leave the shine, but it’s not really distracting when you consider the all of the other features on the St. Tropez.
Of course, there are more options for color other than this “Bright MuLighti” choice. In fact, most of the color choices are represented in this version here. If you want a solid instead, you can practically just pick out a color from this multi-colored one to know your options. Solid or rainbow-checkered, this Jessica Simpson St. Tropez clutch retails for $78 and is also available in tote or hobo styles. The Clutch has interior pockets and a fold-over flap with magnetic closure. Purse size is 12 x 9 x 1.5 in.
