GUESS OYSTER SATCHEL- Diagonally Striped Bag Highlights Colorblock Trend

Colorblock designs offer a very specific look, and one which doesn’t always last beyond a season or two. Yet, by pairing diagonal stripes in similar shades (like the purple and grey pictured here), the Guess Oyster Satchel may have real staying power. Still, all those colors won’t appeal to everyone. Thankfully Guess also includes a black bag, which features the same geometric design with classic black-on-black stripes.
Guess goes easy on the glitz here, with the rhinestone encrusted logo plaque providing the only hint of bling. (Guess devotees will be thankful for their inclusion). The interior of the bag is a little less subtle, with a vibrant signature print lining giving Guess’ trademark splash of color. It is however, exceptionally well organized– with a long zippered pocket, a cell phone slip, and two more multifunctional pouches.
The rolled handles are a little shorter than I’d prefer, but most ladies will have no problems slipping them over their shoulder.
When you buy Guess, you don’t expect real leather or high quality. But a bag like this Oyster satchel does help handbag savvy fashionistas enjoy a trendy color-blocked purse at an very affordable $85 price.
