Coach Handbags are one of the most sought after accessories in the fashion world today, because of the affordability, style and quality of the brand. So now you have saved and decided to get a Coach bag of your own– How do you know that what you’re getting is the real deal?

1) Decide what style you want. Some of Coach’s most popular styles like the Carly and the Scribble have been sold out for awhile so you may have to search sources other than Coach or department stores.

2) Buy from a reliable source. A good way to tell if the Coach is authentic is by who you purchase it from. Coach stores or a Department store is an obvious first choice. Many department stores clear out last seasons bags at up to 50% off, so look for sales at the end of the season. Another option is Coach outlet stores. Outlet bags are often discounted 50% or more, and you can still find most of the best styles.

3) Buy authentic. I’ve seen everyone from hair salons to street vendors selling fakes. Don’t be fooled. Sometimes they will even have a tag on them, you are not going to get a $300 for $25. Look for the Coach creed inside the bag with the serial number on it. It should have a dustbag, unless you buy it at an outlet. Look at the bag itself for flaws or extra lines on the Signature C’s. Look for the care cards, with instruction on how to clean, and return the bag is necessary.

4) Coach does not sell to independent business owners. They only sell to Department Stores and their own stores. Discount retails can aquire old stock from the department stores, but Coach does not sell to the directly.

5) Ebay is a great source of authentic coach bags, but be sure to ask for questions, pictures and whatever you can to determine authenticity.
